Symbolism of the Book Cover and Its Vision of the Future

In this front cover, a series of highly subtle and thought-provoking points are included that can help in achieving a more precise understanding and visualization of the future ahead.

The black-and-white color of the front cover symbolizes the authors’ interpretation of the post-postmodern world, a transparent world that guides humanity from darkness towards absolute light. In this world, nothing remains hidden or unattainable; that is due to the fact that people are to reach such a high level of shared awareness and collective understanding that power of knowledge and decision-making is equally distributed amongst all.

The halo of lines in the white section of the front cover reflects the last signs of the dark era that is fading and exiting the scene. And, in the lower section, circular dotted lines indicate the gradual penetration of the new age of enlightenment and transparency into the heart of darkness.

The world ahead is a combination of black and white colors, moving towards absolute brightness, a brightness that encompasses concepts such as increased human awareness, fully modernized human life, and the ubiquitous emergence of robots and Artificial Intelligence units.

The central triangle in the black area of the front cover symbolizes the field of Futures Studies. Formulated by Professor Sohail Inayatullah, the "Future Triangle" is one of the key models of this field which considers the following three forces to be effective in shaping the future.

• Pull of the Future: The visions, desires, and desirable futures that individuals and societies pursue, such as a greener world or global peace.

• Push of the Present: The current trends and forces in technology, economy, and society that are shaping the future right now, such as rapid technological growth or climate change.

• Weight of the Past: The inhibiting structures, traditions, and beliefs that prevent change and transformation, such as laws or traditional political systems.

The combination of the circle with the triangle and the formation of a diamond and other geometric shapes collectively symbolizes Cognitive Science which, among various uses in Neo-Management, acts as a theoretical infrastructure for understanding future individual and social behaviors.

The red vertical stripe on the left side of the front cover symbolizes the bridge connecting the past and the future, while also rooted in the organizational color of Canada Management College (CAMA College) brand. By the virtue of its social responsibility, this college is missioned to facilitate and accelerate this connection between past and future through the expansion of knowledge, awareness, and insight.

The compound font utilized in the title design, combining uppercase and lowercase letters, represents creativity, innovation, and a purposefully orchestrated disruption and deconstruction of conventional structures.

From our perspective, the future is nothing but a past that has not yet occurred. Therefore, by studying behaviors and viewpoints of the present, one can be better prepared for the future…
